It began as a small group of volunteers desiring to create an avenue where talented amateur soccer players can be brought together under a godly and loving environment resulting in raising role models and providing guidance through role models with similar sports interests.
Eternity FC played its first official game on October 25, 2012, after being founded in the summer of the same year. Currently, the team has about 50 members, though only 25 to 30 players can be featured in a given season. The squad, which started from Division 4 in indoor and outdoor leagues, is now in Division 3.
In Alberta, soccer is the largest youth sport played – surpassing hockey. The program recruits non-playing personnel who help run the club, including developing a vibrant fan club for people with special interest in soccer but who cannot play for one reason or another.
